Tidal Grid 潮域

I created this piece as a meditation on movement, connection, and the fragile balance between vastness and intimacy. I wanted the surface to feel alive, as if currents of air, water, and memory were passing through it at the same time.

The dark ground gives the work its depth, while the white and gold passages cut through it like energy in motion. I was drawn to the idea that something can feel both cosmic and deeply personal at once — like looking out into space and, at the same time, inward toward the self.

The layered texture was important to me because I didn’t want the image to feel flat or fully resolved. I wanted it to hold tension, trace, and weather, as if it had been shaped by time and by forces larger than myself.
